Hi There all hope the day is treating you all well.

I have a query that hopefully someone can assist me with.

I was at job center yesterday to see my adviser and he asked why i am not on DLA or ESA or what ever it is.

The reasons would be that i have Hay fever, Asthma and emphysema and i have had problems with my teeth and finally getting something done about it.

I am having all my teeth pulled out next Wednesday apart from 5 on my lower jaw.

so i will have no teeth for about 3-5 months.

So i have a problem breathing and will be talking as well or not. hehe

please if someone has any advise for me this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Gaz

I would suggest going along to your local Citizens Advice and they will be able to advise you on what you are eligible to claim for. I have just been awarded ESA on appeal as I was told in Dec 2012 that I was fit for work, this was based on my depression only!! I was diagnosed with Emphysema and I also had a pacemaker fitted in April and although my appeal happened after been hospitalised and having the pacemaker fitted this was not part of my appeal. i am also due to have my upper teeth removed and most of my bottom teeth as my teeth are decaying rapidly. Is your tooth decay caused by your medication? Good luck and all the best with talkiing with no teeth!!!

Regards

Gina

i cannot understand why you will have no teeth for 3/5 months,,,I had mine out in january, had a impression taken the week before,,had teeth extracted and new dentures fitted at the same time,,came out of the dentist with a dazzling smile,,,has taken some getting used to,,but have my confidence back and smile a lot more,,,i would certainly ask the dentist,,,,

Ring of Confidence eh chrissie?

I can’t help with advice but I’d just like to wish you all the best with both your health and DLA / ESA applications.

Having all your teeth taken out must be rather upsetting I’d imagine. I hope it all goes ok.
