Is there a good GP near PR1

Am looking for a doctor near me who actually cares.

Have been diagnosed with COPD and to be made to feel like a leper and a hypochondriac by my doctor.

Can read my blog for more info.

See my previous reply, gazath. Really think you need help, ring Pals. Finding a new GP, I think, is the best answer. Make a fresh start. When you find a new GP, have your history written down for him/her to study. Meanwhile, the BLF!

Hi gazath

Being diagnosed with COPD really should not cause you problems accessing healthcare.

You are completely in your rights to change GP, you can access the following link - put in your postcode and it will bring up a list of GP surgeries in your area - it will also tell you if they are accepting new patients:

nhs.uk/Service-Search/GP/Lo...

Please don't feel you have to suffer like this - there are plenty of excellent doctors out there.

As always you can call us to discuss further - 03000 030 555.

Cheers

Jo

I know exactly how you feel our doctor does not seem to have any sympathy for my husband.

After a lot of asking we have had our first visit from a respiratory nurse.today. She seems to know much more about COPD than our doctor and she has helped sort out his oxygen level.

So instead of changing your doctor ask to be referred I hope this helps.
