Hi Foxglove. Have you tried the neurotrac tens machine. I have one it is set to programme 3 and it is set to 19 the pads are placed on the ankle bone and three fingers along on the calf near the tibia. The electrical pulse sends along to the tibial nerve and calms the bladder. I use it every day also 5mg Solifenacin. It is working for me. The physio at Basildon Hospital set it for me. Why has your doc not referred you to the hospital. You do need someone to show you how to use the tens machine. I am trying to get up nerve to come off the tablets and see if the tens works on its own. I hope you find some relief as I know you have needed help for so long. You must need some of the tests they do at hospital to find the problem.

Havent tried any tens machine (sound a good idea) I too wonder why I am not sent to ghosptal, last time I sae doc. she was muttering about botox...I think it is injected into bladder and has to be repeated . The tens machine sounds a better bet! Thanks for reply and I'm pleased you have found relief!

I don’t want Botox, because of the possibility of water retention and needing a catheter. The NHS physio set my tens up. Do ask your GP to refer you. If none of the tabs work you do need to have further tests. Unfortunately it seems one thing is sorted but I now have a problem with pains in my legs , could be sciatica but not sure. Got appt next week. Waited a month for telephone appt. Just want to be normal. 2023 has been terrible for me. Hope you can get more help from your surgery.

Hi. I've been following your posts for a while now as I also have OAB. Glad to hear that the Solifenacin and the Tens is working for you. I use both of these as well. I think the Solifenacin is my magic as it works very well for me. if i stop using it for a few days I start to have problems again. Luckily I have no side effects from it. Not so sure the Tens Machine does much for me but i use it every so often. We have to try everything we can, don"t we. What works for one person doesnt always work for another and vice versa!.

Hi, the Solifenacin stopped working as well. So I upped the use of the tens to every day. That seems to have done the trick. I could not up the Solifenacin to 10mg because it causes constipation with me. I would love to stop the tablets but as things seem OK at the moment sort of reluctant. Hope they carry on working for you.
