Waiting to see surgeon

I had no restrictions prior to my surgery (for severe mitral valve regurgitation and moderate aortic valve regurgitation). I was asymptomatic, but showing left ventricular hypertrophy.
hi there, I just had my mitral valve replaced. I would call the BHF heart line. I was on beta blockers before my surgery which was helping to manage. So I would talk to the nurse - here’s the info from the web page. Call 0808 802 1234 (freephone). Our Helpline is open weekdays 9am to 5pm*.”
I had almost exactly the same problem as Padthainoodles and I've had mital valve repair and aortic valve replaced. I was told (strongly) to keep exercising.
The day before I went in for surgery I was at the gym doing my usual 2k warm up on the rowing machine etc. Otherwise the advice was the usual healthy living advice to eat and drink healthily, don't smoke ( or vape) and try to get weight in healthy range.
It is hard while you are in limbo . Only other advice is write down questions before any appointments, so you remember them and ask for copies of any letters they send to your GP.
I wish you all the best.
