coming off Ticagrelor

I have reached my one year heart attack anniversary and been told by my doctor to stop taking Tricagrelor (yaay! And Yaay!). I stopped yesterday, but today I feel really rough - and exhausted, which is not normal for me. Is this a side effect? Will it go? Or a coincidence?

I suggest it's likely a coincidence. However there may be a possibility of some sort of withdrawal effect, but if there is I would put up with it for a while until it goes on the basis it's one less medication to take as you no longer need it, although you may still be taking one form of similar medication like aspirin. But if you need confirmation of this I suggest you talk to a pharmacist

Hi I was on Ticagrelor for 4 years after my HA. Eventually the day came when I could stop taking them. I must admit I also felt a bit out of sorts for a while afterwards but it soon passed. I'm not sure if it was the stopping of Ticagrelor or because I was a little scared that I was no longer taking it. But I'm great now so maybe it was a little of both. See how you go, if your that concerned talk to a medically qualified person. Take care 🤗
