Still in the diagnosis stage. I’ve been placed on anti-inflammatories indefinitely until a specific diagnosis can be figured out. I have seen a Primary doctor, cardiologist, rheumatologist. I have done blood tests, CT scans, chest Xray, two echo scans but nothing shows abnormal. I have been in the ER once and the ambulance has been called twice. The chest pain is constant with heart attack like symptoms, several attacks in 6 weeks and doctors don’t seem to understand why. Tests show nothing, except small glass nodule 3mm in right lung. Pain is on left side under breast, like a sharp, constant squeezing and heaviness feeling on my chest. In November and December 2024 I had two viral infections that were severe. My self diagnoses is some form of Myocarditis, but has not been confirmed. Going to see a pulmonologist next week, feels like my lungs are affected now, as right before the attacks I can’t breathe out of my nose and I’m forced to mouth breathe. The heaviness in my chest lingers daily. Attacks last 10 mins or so, I get a malaise feeling and then a pain in my chest before the attack happens, they were more intense before I got on anti inflammatory medication, but are now more frequent. Afterwards I am pretty out of it, unable to speak and very weak. My left arm has went completely numb on a few of the attacks, some attacks are more severe than the others. Afterwards I have a sore back pain behind shoulder blade and stiff neck. A few times I got pins and needles in my legs. I get cold after and need a blanket and water. As of recent I can have a few in one day. My strength to do everyday activities has reduced significantly. I’m 42 yrs old.

I do hope that investigation will discover what’s wrong nd will find something to help.
Ugh, that sounds dreadful. Wishing you better days ahead....
That's a load on your plate, I hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later. Have you done a MRI of the heart and lungs? MRI is usually more detailed than X-rays as far as I know, it should pickup even lower level inflammation and/or scarring and the likes. Perhaps that's an option.
Could it be musculoskeletal related affairs?
I've been many times to A&E for similar symptoms to what you've mentioned and they did try to say it's musculoskeletal, so it's a possibility in your case. Just food for thought.
Keep strong, eventually they'll get to the bottom of it, and the anti-inflammatory meds should kick in sooner or later.
I had pericarditis and it was remarkably similar with very little showing medically, scans/blood test. My inflammatory markers were up for a while but other than that to the outside I seamed fine despite me feeling like I was about to keel over. I'm over a year down the line and I still honestly don't feel 100%. I had major neck and shoulder issues at the time which I thought were a different part of me falling to bits but the nerve that controls your trapeze muscles runs over your heart and is affected by the inflammation.
I’m sorry that you’re going through this. I hope you get answers soon.
I’ve been having similar problems like yours for nearly 3 years,I had a ha and 2 stents 4 years ago,I get no release from it ,it’s several times a day ,plus a lot of dizziness throughout every single day ,I’m no further forward finding out what causes it all than I was 3 years ago when it started, hope you have better luck than I have
I’m the same, dizzy spells, I go white and my heart pounds and goes to over 200. I went to hospital, so dizzy, lay down and my blood pressure dropped right down but it showed that some protein went through. Not a heart attack apparently but very high blood pressure. It’s happened 3 times since. It’s strange, and frightening. I hope you get sorted soon.
The only way for proper diagnosis is thorough tests. You are probably worried and impatient as no one knows how urgent your case is. I cried in front of my cardio when they told me to "wait as results have not gone worse than the last tests". I understand there is a backlog and they are working round the clock. Best of luck that you get called in soon.
Hello, sorry to hear you’re poorly. Not knowing what it is is challenging too. Have they measured your Troponin T and NT-pro BNP levels too? My best wishes to you…
