Lack of taste and appetite or swollen lips after heart attack

Since my mom's heart attack she has experienced lack of taste and appetite. Her lips have felt swollen, but it is not visible. Has anyone else experienced any of these things as well? It doesn't seem to be a side effect from any of her medications.

I see from the bio that her EF is now 50% which is pretty good under the circumstances. Many commonly used heart medicines can give the effect you note. Have you read the leaflet that comes with the medicine as those will show the effects from common to unusual?

Medicines can react with each other and it might be worth having a word with the pharmacist or whoever has prescribed them.

if you were in the UK I would say to discuss with the pharmacist employed by her doctors surgery, or the dispensing pharmacist. They are the ones who know the medications and whether they inter-react with each other and their side effects.

In the US I don’t know the pathway you should follow since it’s my understanding that pharmacists do not want to give advice of this nature, but I could be wrong.
