I’m elderly and have lung disease and currently have both lungs infected and the lower lobes have liquid instead of air. I will find out soon what the minor heart defect is that the NHS detected.

I am a retired project director.

I’m married with a wonderful family.

My Mother died from heart failure caused initially by rheumatic fever. I have therefore always had an interest in the British Heart Foundation.

That is my brief introduction.

Sorry to hear of your lung condition. I hope that you are getting treatment that helps.

You mention that you will soon learn what your minor heart condition is. Whilst no one wants to find out these things, knowledge is the way to find out what best treatment or course of action is needed.

Good Morning, Thank you for your kind words. There appears to be a difference of opinion as to the cause of the fluid in my lungs. Cardiologist states that my heart is not the cause and the lung specialist suspects that it is. When I went to the hospital to get my lungs drained, the fluid had gone. It was clearly there before as the scan confirmed. Next step is breathing tests. I still have coughing spasms and breathless. Too many unknown factors at present, however the experts are investigating.
