Hi everyone, I was wondering whether you can help me, I was diagnosed with NSVT last August and was put on Ivabradine tablets, I've had a 24 heart monitor, MRI scan, stress test and 24 blood pressure monitor, all came back that my heart is structurally ok and it's just the rhythm that is causing the problem. I've only seen the cardiologist once and that time he told me that i could die any day from this condition but today (21/02/25) I've received a letter to say that he's discharged me from the clinic and no mention about me carrying on with the tablets or whether there will be a follow up, I'm just left with unanswered questions . I was wondering whether anyone else is in the same situation as me and whether I should try to tackle to get back on to the Cardiologist

hi
I was admitted to my hospital last year. The consultant doing the rounds, bit touchy feely wanted to discharge me with paracetamol. Heart was Tachy/Badycardic, AFib Arythmia, arterial flutter and low blood pressure. I politely refused so he walked off I called the junior doctor that was taking his notes, he understood and appropriate action was taken. He clearly had not read my short case history and someone had put Paracetamol on my meds despite not requiring them. I think he was clearing beds and very close to retirement but no excuse for incompetence.
I would suggest you go back to your GP practice heart problems are serious.
I ask for urgent Gp consultation and normally get one in hours tell them it’s serious. They should refer you or sent to straight to A&E. Mine does
Good luck
