morning all, this willl be very vague! But I’m now 11 weeks post HA and I just have lots of days when I just feel rubbish. I can’t really put it into words but I just feel unwell, I’m worried that I have a heart issue that isn’t being dealt with, I am still waiting for the cardiac MRI results, could the medication be causing me to feel so rubbish? But if it is the medication would it not be the case I would feel rubbish initially then once I’m used to the medication start to feel better? But this is the opposite way round? Has anyone else experienced this?

Feeling rubbish

hello. So I had a HA in December and had emergency angioplasty work on three out of four main arteries (?).
I still have good and bad days even now and the weather really doesn’t help when it’s cold and damp. It’s tough to have a run of three or four decent days and then out of nowhere you can have a bad day, fatigue, low moods, soreness etc and that can be difficult to accept. The brain thinks that you are improving then bang.
What I’ve noticed is that a lot of information and PR is all a round very positive stories (which is great) but everyone is different and the time guidance is just that - guidance, not the recovery roadmap for all.
I’m learning that when you don’t feel great, listen to that body and rest until ready to go again.
The old saying ‘this is a marathon, not a sprint’ is completely true. Sure, some super fit athletes may recover within weeks but that is not the vast majority of ordinary people.
It will take time and accept that this will be a pattern for a while. When you have good days enjoy them and eventually it will get less and less as the body adapts and recovers.
ive seen so so many posts like yours on this forum - and the kind hearties on here respond in very much the same way that WanderingW has done.
While initial side effects do wear off, some people simply can't tolerate certain meds. I felt absolutely dreadful on bisopralol. I was so exhausted I could barely get out of the chair. Ticagrelor made me feel as if I couldn't breathe properly. Both had to be changed.
