I’ve been taking Dapa, Entresto (middle dose as of 2 weeks), and Bisoprolol for just over 4 weeks and I honestly feel worse than I did before taking them. If this normal after a month?
My EF was 25%, have DCM and LBBB! Surprisingly it was found by chance as I was asymptomatic but feel wiped out this week! Is this temporary because of the meds? I hope so 🤞

It took me awhile to get used to it before some of the side affects went away. Like someone suggested, you may want to call the BHF Heart helpline nurse.
I’m exhausted at times . I can only explain it as wading through treacle. I have to really push myself to do things . Once I’m up and moving it’s not to bad .
As my GP put it, “some meds make you feel better, so make you feel worse but save your life”. I was whingeing about Bisolprolol, which makes me really dopey.
At the time I was on the minimum dose (1.25mg daily). I gradually developed a tolerance to that and am low on it twice daily. The tiredness has never gone away.
Different people obviously cope differently. Hopefully your symptoms will lessen.
I’m also on Entresto and Dapa along with 3 other medications and on the whole I feel great but I often wake up tired and it takes me an hour or so to come to and if I’ve had a busy day one day I need to have an easier one the day after. The time I felt really ill on my AF/HF journey was when I was on Bisoprol, I was so tired I could barely function, they said it would take time to adjust to the medication but after months I never did, in the end it was decided I was intolerant to it and my medication was changed. It’s years ago now and I can’t remember what to. As others suggest you need to talk to your heart specialist to discuss your medication as it can take a while to get the balance of medication right.
I take 2.5 mg of Bisoprolol have done since August 21st 2024, took me until the third week of November to feel as if the foggy bubble I was in had burst. I still don’t feel “ back to how I used to be” but I do feel this is the best I will be. I am now taking a huge dose of vitamin d3 one a week for 6 weeks as I told my GP about the fatigue and he requested a blood test last month. I am about to take week 4 of the vitamin today, haven't felt any different with them.
it’s useful I find to measure your bp as for sure mine is consistently v low on these. It gets lower when I have a cold. It can be preventative and you feel that the tiredness is not soothed by sleep. It helps me to see the low bp but always good to report these to your Consultant team. My echo has gone up even on baby dose and I found that the day I was going to say the drugs were too hard. The low bp is v hard though. Xx
