Had surgery just before Xmas although everything appears fine as I journey along the road to recovery, next week I shall be having a phone consultation
With the hospital, so my questions are.
What can I expect to get from the consultation in terms of questions they may ask and what type of questions should I ask?
How long before I start rehabilitation exercises and should I wait for a few more weeks before I start.
I now appear to have anxiety which tends to occur just before bedtime and have always over the years kept myself fit, previous to the heart attack I worked out at least 4 times a week doing mainly weightlifting.
Many thanks

Your questions: more for your own peace of mind than anything else, keep paper and pen handy in the run up and note down anything that comes to mind, note any symptoms too. Their questions: probably just any symptoms you've been having which you can answer from your notes. Maybe also about the wound healing as it's a phone consult and they can't see for themselves. Rehab exercise: this issue didn't arise in my case, maybe it's more about your heart condition than just having a PM, obviously ask about this. Anxiety: if you weren't anxious previously I'm sure it will settle down, it's certainly not caused directly by the PM. Again re the weightlifting ask the cardio people. I'm sure it will go fine and everything will be well! Bear in mind if things come up you can ring them anytime, you don't need an appointment.
