Hi, I was diagnosed with AF and HF in Nov 24, still awaiting Echo, which is on 24 Jan, onBisoprolol 1.25mg/dayDigoxin 125mcg/day

Furosemide 80mg/day

Doxazosin 16mg/day

aApixoban 10mg/day

Since going on Bisoprolol I have developed really painful upper shoulder and back muscle pain, in your experience could these be related to the meds?

I can only comment from my own experience. I was already on bisoprolol and Apixiban when diagnosed with HR. Adding in dapa, entresto and Pravastatin after diagnosis. I found the addition of these too much for my BP and it kept plummeting. Cardiologist took me off bishop and prescribed Ivrabradine instead, have had no issues since. Hope that helps

Hi - I’m taking 1.25 bisoprolol for AF felt a bit dizzy, tired but no shoulder/back pains. The initial effects wore off quite quickly so I hope yours do too.

Hi there, I am taking the same combination and can only say that I’ve never experienced any muscle pain. I hope that you get it sorted! All the best!

Extraordinary, just since Friday, I was taken by ambulance to NPH because of severe chest (back)and shoulder pain. Not sorted yet, but said it does not appear to be cardiac related which was the initial concern. I have been on Bisoprolol for 10 years so that seems unlikely, but on Doxazosin (8mg) for about 3 months, so maybe it is the latter?
