Mum has this when the canula went it. Amiodaline? I read it is quite a harsh medicine for the little veins so this often happens.

5 weeks ago she had a pci for a stemi.

There are 4 little clots under the skin. The GP isn't worried and says it'll fix itself.

Internet says 4- 6 weeks but it doesn't look or feel much better to me.

Has anyone else had this?

Amiodarone. Yes, I ended up with a large lump on the inside of my elbow where the infusion had burnt me. The hospital even called in a plastic surgeon to have a look, but he just said it was fine, and it only got a passing mention in my discharge letter, despite me being horrified by it. The nurses had had to stop the infusion early because I was in agony.

The lump eventually dissipated, but it took several months. I still have no idea how the medical world discovered that such a nasty drug could be good for the heart!
