Thank you everyone one for your kind replies to my original post.

I haven't got much faith in my Cardiology Clinic sadly as one nurse tells me one thing and another doesn't know. I had wondered about going out for a little walk this weekend but was concerned that it might be a bit damp and cold and I didn't want to have a peculiar turn like I did last Thursday.

I will think about what you have all said. Thank you.

Just read previous comments, great explanations and advice. I got told by my cardiologist that it's only a matter of time before I have a stroke or massive heart attack in 2011. I didn't stop trying, it's about mind set, start small, but make every day count. It's difficult when you don't get reassurance from hospital, you have to be your own cheering squad. When you have a bad day, it's only 24hrs long, find a happy place, even if it's imaginary. Stress only makes things worse. Know your worth, a crumpled $50 note is still worth the same! Hope you can get peace of mind, it's a first step to happy life. Take care. Moni

It is not wrong to question your medical professionals or ask for a second opinion. Most of them do a fantastic job most of the time but they are only human and therefore not perfect.

Hi BSA20 your story is very reminiscent to my own experience with cardiology. In Oct’22 I had a heart attack and blue lighted to LGI where a team were in waiting and a stent was placed in my left circumflex artery thus saving my life. The consultant and team in the hospital were fantastic and so to were the nurses in charge of my rehab sessions but hey Ho from there on back up was pathetic to say the least.Ive had bouts of chest pains resulting in A&E visits /Doctors appointments and have had echocardiograms,bloods,24hr halter and a cardiac MRI.Not one medic has discussed any results with me and I have obtained this by my NHS record on my phone and the MRI results were not available until I strongly requested them.Ive also had ecg’s in A&E and my local surgery that contradict each other. This BHF forum is superb and help is readily available from the nurses on here and fellow subscribers. To finish I honestly think that cardiology back up is a postcode lottery as many on here have a good relationship with their cardiologist/doctor.I wish you well xx
