I think your question to us here on this forum is whether you should ride a gym bike. As you are seeing a consultant very soon, why not wait and ask him or her? We don’t know enough about you to advise. We are not medical people,

Not till you have seen your consultant. Not a medic but I think you could trigger a heart attack by doing so. Take it easy but keeping mobile for the next few days.

please do not use your bike until you have seen someone with expertise in this conditionunstable angina is a term often used for Coronary Artery Spasm or Microvascular Angina - look for info on the BHF site in posts by Milkfairy here

I think that you have over exerted yourself. If you had been unwell since last year then you should have toned down activities until you were better and not gone on holiday. Sometimes you can accelerate illness by pushing too hard.

In my own case I wanted to ask my cardiologist about exercise as I felt well enough to do so, the thought never crossed his mind and I did not bother to ask him! I got the impression that he was more concerned with my survival rather my fitness!

Hello,

I agree with everyone else's advice take it easy until you have had your consultation on Saturday.

The BHF has an 'Understanding Angina ' booklet.

The booklet gives a description of the different types of angina.

Stable, unstable, microvascular and vasospastic angina.

I hope it helps.
