Angina?

Hi,

I had a heart attack 12 weeks ago. Although it was a serious heart attack, reducing my EF to 45%, I bounced back quite quickly.

I got on with my life, building up my exercise regime and shedding weight.

Recently, I've hit a bump in my recovery (see earlier post), which is getting worse.

I've had a dull pain in the middle of my chest for a week now. It "spikes" when moving, especially if bending over or twisting my neck.

I wonder if I now have angina. Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone with angina?

Let us know how you get on and what they say about your chest pains.

I have my three month appointment with the Wythenshaw cardio team a week on Thursday.

In the meantime, I'm supposed to start cardio rehab phase 4 at my local gym *gulp*

Ok I will and gym omg I think that would kill me lol you take care yourself x

Why not give your gym routine a break for a short time and see if your symptoms improve. If they do you will then know the cause. If not then you can resume knowing your problems are not exercise related.

Hi I have recently been diagnosed with angina, mine is an ache that becomes more intense and it can start central chest or in my left shoulder and radiates to my neck and jaw. Yesterday was a bad day, I took my spray 4 times which gave me some respite from it.

Seems to come in bouts like you it will persist for some time then ease off now it’s back again.

It’s early days for me still coming to terms and learning how my body responds to each episode, can be different depending on activity or stress level.

Sorry to hear about your heart attack and hope you feel better soon.
