Does unstable angina mean that I could have had a heart attack.

I required 2 stents just had a heaviness in chest for a couple of weeks when walking up hill.

If anybody could let me know and are you asked back for a review.

Feel great now got my meds sorted.

You need to get unstable angina checked out by your specialist. I have it and my specialist was clear with me that it can be a forerunner to another HA. But, very importantly, please remember we share here what we've been told and are not capable of giving a diagnosis. You MUST SPEAK to your specialist as they are the only one qualified to give you an answer that is correct for you.

I agree with Snoweybun. My symptoms were very like yours. Cardio told me she’s be much happier if I didn’t get any angina. It’s a sign the heart is strained.

No unstable angina does not mean you’ve had a heart attack. However, it means that you could have one if you don’t get it sorted.

I’m glad that you feel good now you’ve had your stents and hopefully you won’t need any further intervention.

But... I had five stents and ten months later started getting stable angina symptoms again. Progressively got worse and became unstable angina that led to a quintuple heart bypass.

For the majority of people that has had stents they won’t need anything further so please don’t worry. Just be aware.

I can only speak from my own experience as I’m not a health care professional.

All the best 👍
