May 2022 was travelling home when my apple watch went into alarm high heart rate. Was actually 150 yards from West Cumberland Hospital 1-30 in morning went to A & E said 4 hours wait. Went to desk and even as was giving details was asked to go into majors. They said as no other symptoms my watch probably mistake but on being put on monitor they said it was right my BPM was 175.
I was admitted to Coronary Care put on Amioderone for 24 Hours. This did not work. They gave me two rather weird injections these brought rate down to 90. Said that it seemed an electrical problem in my heart. The following night went Brachycardic heart rate 22-25. Decided would probably need an ablation.
After several weeks in Coronary Care Unit and transfer to Cumberland Hospital Carlisle and then Freeman Hopital Newcastle I have CRTD fitted and have had an ablation expecting a second Ablation later this year.
Throughout all this my care has been excellent.

Hi, you've joined a special club! If this has come out of the blue, as it sinks in and you learn more about your condition it might impact you more than you might imagine. We are all different, thank goodness, and you seem to be coping well and feeling well cared for. I was admitted earlier in the year and had a lengthy time in CCU and the care felt chaotic with poor communication.. If at any time you want to share or seek a view feel free to message me.
I am coping well at present my consultant keeps in touch with reviews of my CRTD and says will probably need another ablation in the future. My overall support medically has been brilliant. Went with eye problem diagnosed as optical migraine tired eyes due to hard work with cateracts. Now have new inter ocular lenses. All in Seven weeks.
