I would have thought that walking will not cause you any problems, particularly if you don't get out of breath and you stay within your personal exercising heart rate limits. But if you want a professional opinion, other than your GP or cardiologist ,why not talk to the BHF Heart Helpline nurse
probably not damaging.
stenosis of a heart valve is classified in four stages. 1 Mild 2 moderate 3 severe 4 critical.
When you reach severe you should be referred to the hospital so that they treat you before you go critical.
Your lengthy walks will be a big boon when you have the heart treatment. My first big warnings were when I started to stumble forward.
It took me about 5 years to go from mild to moderate then less than one year from moderate to severe. But we all differ a bit.
Best wishes

Hi Foreveryoung29It can take a while to progress to severe. I have bicuspid aortic valve moderate to severe aortic regurgitation and moderate stenosis and it's been like this for about 13 years nearly 14 so you can live a normal life with a damaged heart valve ❤️. Like you I am asymptomatic so will be a while till I'm referred for surgery which is good. Has your cardiologist told you what there plan is? Normally it's a watch and wait plan for symptoms to appear or the heart to enlarge or anything to speed up the need for surgery. Hope your able to get some reassurance from this. Can be scary knowing you have a damaged heart valve but alot of us here can sympathise with what that's like so if you have any questions or just wanna chat just let me know x
After I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis, my cardiologist gave me the go ahead to walk for several hours at a time, and a week before my TAVI I completed seven hours of walking in one day without a problem, but on a carefully planned route that avoid steep hills. As always, it's up to your cardiologist to advice you, with regard to your particular symptoms.
(Also, to my slight surprise, I was allowed to continue my sex life.)
