Hi

It might be of help to you and members if you deleted two of the three identical posts now up and running, preferably before you get any responses. If you go to and click on 'More' under your post there is a 'Delete' option which should remove the post.

If I am correct in my understanding of your post that your troponin is normal, then my understanding is that you don't have myocarditis.

Myocarditis causes inflammation and damage to the heart muscles, and in doing so, troponin - a substance which is usually only found in heart muscle - is released. If there is no troponin elevation, then your heart muscle is not being damaged currently.

Perhaps it was damaged with the previous bout of myocarditis.

Good luck with the MRI and let us know the results

while most people with myocarditis have raised troponin, you can still have it with normal tropinin levels, a MRI will confirm inflammation

Thankyou for you reply I had myocarditis 3 years ok normal troponin confirmed Odema myocarditis from mri .2 thirds of patients will not have raised troponin with it .x

I have reoccurring myopericarditis (Myocarditis and Pericarditis combined) and my troponin levels have never been raised. Lower EF will mean your heart is inflamed & not pumping as well as usual. I expect you will be given colchicine & omeprazole along with ibuprofen after the MRI confirms this. Good luck

This is fine. When I had my first case I was down from 65% to 45%. But my condition is chronic. Hope yours doesn’t come back again after this 🙏

Mine is Normal but I have severe Heart Failure (Myocarditis) . Mÿ issues only show up on Echocadiogram. My MRI results took several months for the results to come through. And it only confirmed Echocadiogram results. But no actual cause to how my Heart is in such bad condition.

Please don't think about the results of your MRI as they take thousands of images and it takes months to process.

Best of luck

Good evening 12dr. I had myocarditis 3 years ago. Seen this post come up on daily update email so thought I'd give it a read.

Would just like to say I'm glad your MRI has showed no myocarditis. There's nothing worse. Wish you a speedy recovery x
