I was prescribed these morning and evening whilst waiting for a heart ultrascan. I was advised about headaches for a few days but these have continued now for ten days. They are across my eyes and forehead and the back of my head and neck. Constant excruciating pain. 111 call yesterday advised to stop taking them and consult cardiologist. I can barely lift my head off the pillow.
Has anyone else experienced this, when I do move about I also feel wobbly and unbalanced.
On the positive side it has reduced the symptoms!

I took Nicorandil for a reasonably short period of time and experienced headaches. There is undoubtedly a bedding in period and the headache side effects may diminish, but then they may not. I would have been disappointed with the response from 111, but am not surprised having dealt with them in the past. They could have at least organised an urgent GP consultation for you (as seems to happen with 111 here when they take up valuable appointment slots at my GP surgery). Otherwise your GP may be able to prescribe alternative medication, or at least will be able to contact the cardiology team for prescribing guidance as had happened to me in the past, and perhaps that will carry more weight than you trying to contact them . I hope you get sorted soonest.
Hi there, I was put on Nicorandil morning and night. Also suffered head aches similar to yourself. This lasted for 12 days then suddenly the head disappeared! and I’ve been fine since.
