Hi, had a triple bypass 22 years ago , since had 5 stents as well , now I have been told I need another triple bypass .Has anyone else had 2 triple bypass surgeries? If so how did it go ?
Where would they take the veins/ arteries from ? Last time they took them from lower right leg, left forearm and the mammary cavity.
Thanks

I hope others that have been where you are see your post and reply but I would imagine they will have a way and get the veins from somewhere it would be a question I would ask them
You have been through such a lot and the first triple Bypass even though you had to have some stents served you well so if this one which I hope it does lasts as long then you have plenty of years ahead of you
Let us know when you get a date for your op and how you get on x
I had a quad bypass 10 years ago along with a aortic valve replacement with a mechanical one. They used the mammery artery for one bypass but the other three were satisfied by a single vein from the upper left leg. I had major problems from the large wound on the leg though because it wouldn't stop bleeding although I was on blood thinners the whole time due to the mechanical valve, so hopefully you won't have that problem
