Is it common to experience chest pains after surgery carnt get any sense from anyone and not on good terms with hospital staff

From personal experience I would say most definitely! Been told muscular, now told nerve damage!

Yes you will feel all sorts of pains, the heart is still agitated, nerves and muscles also in your back and side (assuming OHS) ...... I am quite lean so post Op I felt everything whereas someone who carries more weight less so.

Hi Craig53,

My mrs had open heart surgery and was immediately on pain killers for several weeks afterwards. It was most certainly a painful recovery.

In my own case, I opted for stents, relatively pain free. Until months down the line, I got the most excruciating pain in my arms! This was an (unexpected, having returned to full-time work) after reaction to my stent procedures earlier, my body had just responded! It lasted for a whole week, then faded away, no more arm pains ever since.
