Hello. I'm hoping that those with more experienced can help me! I have just been diagnosed with Atrial Flutter with rapid ventricular response and given bisoprolol 2.5mg as well as blood thinners. So, now my heart rate and blood pressure are within normal parameters - but I have a very "thuddy" feeling heartbeat. It seems as though my heart is beating hard even though everything is reading as normal. My GP said that's a common feeling, but it's very unsettling.
Do I have to learn to ignore it or should it be checked out further? Many thanks

I was diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation last year, put on endoxaban and bisoprolol 2 5mg,yes sometimes thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest, went into sinus rhythm and it's better
Hi, it's normal for me, my cardiologist is aware as I've discussed sometimes my heart feels like it's going to jump out of my chest it beats that hard. I would check with your support team to be sure & good luck.
The mind is a wonderful thing but can also be a damned nuisance. Yup, I get the thuddy heart beat at times and once upon a time it used to frighten the living daylights out of me. The more I thought about it the worse it felt. Anxiety can play a big part on how you perceive a health threat. Now I just ignore it and it goes away or becomes unnoticeable
