Irregular heartbeat and palpitations after exercise

I have done a gentle jog for over twenty years, no problem. On Monday after my jog, I felt palpitations and like my heart was jumping and pounding. I put my partners Apple Watch on for an ecg and it said Afib once then inconclusive about 4 times after that. It lasted about 5 hours. I spoke to a dr the next day and they have requested an ecg from Inhealth- waiting for the GP secretary to send it off. Since then the ecg on his Apple Watch has been normal sinus rhythm. Has anyone had anything similar and have any advice? I don’t have heart issues- just blood pressure which is medicated. I also have overactive thyroid so am on carbimazole but have been for 6 months - no problem.
