As you know my husband had an MI with 2 stents on 16/2/24 and was also diagnosed with severely impaired left ventricle function and needs 2 more stents. Despite contact with nurse team, I feel we’re still no further forward with what happens now. No cardiac rehab is arranged, no date for his next treatment, no support really. His mental health isn’t wonderful and he’s stressed most days. He’s now started with some breathlessness on minimal exertion and the occasional sharp pain in his chest. Is this normal? We feel like we’re just plodding along most days and can’t see any light in the tunnel.
Any advice is most welcome. TIA

Talk to the hospital PALS team and see if they can expedite things along for you. You could also contact the medical secretary for the cardiologist who is responsible for your husband and whilst he was in hospital for more information too. And from reading on here cardio rehab is not a given it seems, since some hospitals offer cardio rehab others don't, and when they do the the format is different. Finally if you have any medical questions you could talk to the BHF nurse as below, who might also be able to advise on the suitability of the BHF online cardio rehab course.
Consultant secretary can’t really help. He’s been told he’ll have rehab, but just don’t know when. Don’t really want to jeopardise his future treatment by contacting PALS, not yet anyway.
I’ve contacted BHF nurse but she couldn’t offer any advice as she doesn’t know my husband’s medical history and didn’t want to give incorrect advice.
