Post-Op Follow Up Appointment

Hi.

Had mitral valve repair on 27th February, so just over 4 weeks into recovery.

Just had a letter today from the hospital, saying my follow up appointment is not going to be 15th May, which is 11 weeks after my operation, is this normal or to long to wait ?

had mine on 31st January and haven’t received an appointment yet. My local cardiac nurse told me it isn’t unusual to wait 14-16 weeks for follow up when I asked.

Not unusual, mine was at about 8 weeks though.

Hi Paul, my partner had mitral valve repair mid January and his follow up appointment with his surgeon is early April so 10/11 weeks.

Had a echocardiogram at 6 weeks but 6 months before an appointment
