Ref: NT-proBNP >2000 ng/

Deal All,

I need your opinion as a new medical finding raised a concern. And I am worried.

First, relevant health history

1. paroxysmal AF

2, mitral valve regurgitation (moderate)

3. pneumonia September 2023 (hospitalised) with pleural effusion (treated)

****

Here are new findings regarding my heart/health issues.

Generally, I feel fine but for the swelling in my ankles ...

Due to swelling in the ankles and minor breathlessness, my GP organised a heart-related blood test.

My result was 'abnormal': 2430ng/l

NT-proBNP >2000 ng/L - high levels; refer to rapid access Heart Failure.

I am waiting to hear from UCHL Hospital's heart failure clinic.

Any thoughts or shared experiences on the condition of the high level of NT-proBNP (2430ng/l)

Thank you for your attention.

Best wishes.

Nada

I have no idea what those readings mean at all maybe you could try and talk with your Doctor and see if they can explain them to you if no one on here knows what they mean either

I hope you hear from the heart clinic soon and get an appointment
