My husband has had a heart arrest. The consultant what’s to wait to what effects the medication he has prescribed before taking the next steps. He has suggested that a Zoll Life Vest ( wearable defibrillator) be worn so he may come home.
Has anyone within the community experience of wearing/ using a LifeVest? Any hints / tips / experiences both positive and negative would be appreciated.

I wore one for six months. It's a bit of an annoyance but beats the alternative! Tips: read the instructions carefully. get a small waist pack to hold the main unit rather than use the strap as it did get bothersome to have it swinging are. Wash the vest every 2 days, you should have an extra one. Clean the contacts with alcohol. They have to be positioned correctly and right on the skin or it won't work, and the vest will buzz.
If you have questions about the vest itself you can actually call Zoll. They are based in the US. I talked to their local representatives a few times.
Ultimately it was determined that I didn't need an implanted defibrillator, but I was happy to wear the vest. It was very reassuring.
I wore one for 7 months while they were trying to get my EF to improve with medication. Gave me peace of mind knowing that if I went into cardiac arrest it was there to revive me. It can move around a lot if you are a restless sleeper and then it starts vibrating and buzzing and you need to reposition it. Was not that bad for the most part.
