Hi all I was wondering if someone can explain or help with what to do next, I have recently had a 24 ecg holter for my ongoing palpitations to which I recently the results, thankfully my heart rhythm was fine but it said I had occasions of extra beats coming from the lower chambers of the heart . These extra beats were benign finding. I have been discharged back to the gp. What does this mean and as I am still have symptoms and feel exhausted 90% of the time what should I say to the gp when I make an appointment? Is there treatment ? Has anyone had a similar diagnosis and what happened next? Thank you in advance x

24 hour ecg report
Hello
Your GP should have a copy of the results and the report from the EP who did the observation, so that should explain everything you need to know.
Was the request for the holter via your GP / HF Nurse/Cardiologist
Regards
I had a similar test but over 7 days. Like yours, it was fine with the odd extra beat here and there. Cardiologist said - nothing to be concerned about.
If you are still having issues, not a bad idea to get further tests, to rule out any other condition.
Bring this up with your GP, there may be other things they can test for to find the root of your symptoms. Depending on your doctor, you may have to push for them to look into it more, but I find describing the life impacts your symptoms are having is really helpful to getting a response.
