Higher blood pressure when standing up

My blood pressure is ok when I am sitting down 135/75 but when I take it standing up it went up to 147/97 anyone had this and what treatment did you get,Thanks

bp can vary sitting/standing and also left arm/right arm. If you have a look at the website of Blood Pressure UK you will get some insight into blood pressure and then you can decide whether to see your medical people about getting education if needed.

The diastolic pressure (97) is far too high as generally anything over 80 is considered as needing treatment. I think you need to speak to your GP. If you do not want to do that initially you could talk to the BHF nurses on Monday. A high diastolic pressure can potentially damage the heart , kidneys and brain or even lead to a retinal bleed!

Thanks I spoke to doctor the other week about said it's to high hopefully I have a up coming cardiology appointment with what happened to me on 6th Feb at work, And doctor said she what cardiology say about it been high
