Does anyone here who takes Amlodipine dream alot every night or did you have alot of dreams when you first started taking the tablets but they've now stopped? I've been taking Amlodipine since January, they make me quite tired so I don't have any problem sleeping or getting off to sleep but I am dreaming constantly from the moment I drop off, very complicated, full colour and very long dreams so when I wake up I feel like I've been extremely busy all night 😂 and it's starting to add to the tiredness I already have from the tablets. So, does anyone else have this issue or, if you did, did it eventually stop? Grateful for any input.

Amlodipine - Wild dreams every night!
Hi, yes I had terrors, mostly nightmares , horrendous. Dose reduced & other meds increased to covery heart ect & dreams stopped. Hope your ok.
Its funny youve posted this as ive had really vivid nightmares past couple of nights. I wont go into them but i have woke up this morning feeling like ive been at work on a 12 hour shift,
I take Amlodipine but ive been taking it for a long time and dont tgink its that. I feel dehydrated though, i went on a day out on a coach trip yesterday and maybe didnt drink enough fluids. Maybe that has led to me having the most vivid dream ive had so far last night.
When my husband first started it he had a 'lucid dream' where he said he could control what was happening. It only happened once.
I was only on it for a couple of weeks had awfull nightmares every night would wake up screaming so came off it .
Hi been on amlodipine few years now but haven't had any dreams or nightmares whilst i have been on them, do feel tired though during day not sure whether it's the tablets or not i cant say for definite but sleep ok once i nod off 👍
Sorry to say , I’ve been on amlodipine for about 10 years and I’m lucky if I have a dream I remember one night in ten. Obviously meds affect people in different ways
Amlodopine doesn't agree with me so on Ramipril and Bisoprolol. I have always had vivid dreams in full colour since I was a child, but nowadays they are more full on and I can sometimes control what is happening in them. Fortunately, while they are not nightmare quality, they can occasionally be a bit disturbing. They also have reoccurring themes such as swimming or driving and I have even been known to levitate or fly. Quite fun really😊
