So I had a CT Angiogram 4 weeks ago. Got the result today.....no sign of coronary artery disease or angina which is good news. However a 7mm nodule was detected on my lung. I have to go back in 3 months for a CT chest scan. Has anyone else experienced this?
I've also just finished wearing a Zio for 2 weeks so those results are to follow

I had a nodule they found it when doing all the tests they have to do before I had my Bypass op done
I had to go back a year later and it was the same size so as it was no different they were not concerned and I questioned my Doctor and she said the same not sure what size it was though but they seem to be quite a common thing that others have posted about that they have had one to
I too had nodules on my lungs found when I had a scan before cancer treatment. It was explained that if they were still there when I’d finished my chemo then they were, obviously, not cancerous
. Well, they were still there and not worth bothering about. That was nearly ten years ago.
Hi there, they found a 6 mm on my left lung 4 years ago so I had to have annual ct scans just to keep an eye on it. Providing they don't continue to grow, they are all fine. Last year, I developed a small 4 mm one on my right lung. I had a chat with a specialist and he showed me the pictures and said providing they are smooth and don't grow significantly they are fine, Apparently they are very common and lots of people have them and they cause no issues.. Consultant has said will need another scan next year and if no change, probably a scan every couple of years to keep an eye on things. Have a chat with the specialist after your scan. Hope all goes well.
Hi .A 7mm nodule on right upper lung area was detected after a ct scan 5 years ago .Apparently not too much to be concerned about but was advised to have yearly follow up by xray .After having 3 xrays over 3 years the nodule has not changed size or shape.
My wife had a 6mm nodule detected by a CT scan as part of her non-heart-related medical treatment. They are apparently quite common, detected on c30% of CT scans as incidental findings & normally non-symptomatic. The vast majority are benign, but it's common to continue monitoring with repeat scans to ensure that the nodule is not growing. A 6mm nodule is considered small & I believe that <1cm nodules are not investigated further under NHS protocols. In fact below that size, it's probably not possible to do a safe biopsy in any event.
