Update two day's ago I had a cardiology appointment.

As of two day's ago my HF prognosis is definitely going in the right direction. Had Cardiology appointment, results from my MRI and the confirmed results left me optimistic and relived. My infraction injection is now at 51% up from 35% due to prescribed meds and early diagnosis, the damage to my heart is Improving and normal function is restored well near as. And feel more positive.

That is amazing news...you had no oermanebt damage..so it can heal...that is an excellent improvement in the Ejection fraction...up to 51...that is considered normal..from 50 to 65...hope that you have continued success..

Good news and well done for taking everything on board re lifestyle etc.

2 things I would say is that it is still early days so don't be surprised if your EF goes even higher and secondly when you have further tests going forward do ask if your iron levels are OK.

2 years in mine were dipping (found out due to some other problem) and I was given iron supplements and they made a big difference as well.

That’s a relief for you , my husbands was the same in July 35% I’m hoping his will improve . May I ask what caused your damage ? My husbands is AF which caused his stroke . Left ventricular infarction or something . Are you on bisoprolol ? How long did it take for yours to improve ? Thank you

Hello hackiesmith, sorry to hear of your Husband stroke, hoping was a mild stroke, my Injection fraction was 35%, I've been taking Entresto 24-26 mg and Bisoprolol for about 6 months now my I F is 51%, now, but everybody has different conditions and treatment varies. Hopefully within 6-7 months.

Thankyou , it wasn’t mild he now has aphasia and half his eyesight has gone in each eye on the right side so can’t drive anymore and can’t read or write but we re hoping in time this may come back or partly come back

Hello,jackiesmith7777. I also hope for some improvement in your Husbands condition. Sorry to hear his stroke was more serious and has come as a shock. And is life changing . This may help the Brain can do a bit of rewiring and some of the damage can improve and new pathways form and patch of new one's. And this patch bypasses damaged areas. Hoping the outcome is positive.
