Today my GP phoned me originally to talk about the morphine I was discharged with.we spoke at length about my situation.
She is writing to the Cardiology Dept to ask for clarification of my non cardiac chest pain diagnosis.
She said she will include what the BHF told me that the cmr scan doesn’t always pick MVD up, she said she is asking for an appointment to be made where a Consultant will meet with me and explain in detail their findings.
I told her he refused to refer me for a 2nd opinion and she said well that’s what I’m asking for.
one of my discharge letters says under procedure that I have mild atherosclerosis and Microvascular-that was after an angiogram,I told her I cannot understand how it’s not cardiac pain when my small vessels are severely diseased, I told her I feel like a nuisance and she said please don’t say that.it’s frustrating that we don’t know what it is yet.
So I shall wait for the response.
Incidentally my complaint through pals about the ambush around my bed well he’s not sent a reply yet and I sent the complaint last Friday but was only acknowledged yesterday.
I was going to send an email to the ceo but I don’t want to go above my GP especially when she is so supportive

It’s lovely to hear your GP is being supportive. Sometimes that makes all the difference. I hope you can get down to the bottom of whether the pain is, or is not cardiac-related, although from your last post, you were on anti-anginal medication if I remember correctly.
Having a positive response to Nicorandil may be indicative of the fact that you do have a cardiac problem however, your consultant will advise you accurately.
It seems that they’ve put you on a handful of medication without a proper diagnosis in the hope that one of the medications, or some, will work. Not the best approach but I’m glad you are finding some relief.
I am glad to hear that your GP is supporting and listening to you.
In their email back to you, PALS should have given you some time scales.
Usually you should receive a response to your complaint within 15 working days.
If the response is delayed they should write to you and say why it's delayed.
If you wish you can formalise your complaint if you are unhappy with the initial response.
A scatter gun approach to prescribing is a common response by some Cardiologists when they are unsure of a person's diagnosis.
Not the best medicine necessarily.
Nor is trying to diagnose someone in response to the medication they are given.
I don't respond particularly well to any of my medications. It doesn't mean I don't have vasospastic angina which is how some Cardiologists I have met try to infer.
I have had the appropriate testing to confirm my diagnosis which is something I hope you will be offered along with access to a empathetic Cardiologist who listens.
I hope you feel better soon. After my last Cardic Nurse review the letter arrived shortly after in NHS app. In my opinion is a work of fiction. He asked me how I felt. I told him not well at all I feel I have gone backwards initially feeling better but now having to sleep in the day time again. He wrote patient reports feeling well. He asked me how far I could walk. I said not very far He said half a mile I said no where near that he wrote walks half a mile sometimes less. And the constant ache accross my chest there trying to say lack of iron and vitamin D. Had blood test to prove him wrong. Noe I am in limbo as they discharged me from Lucsi virtual ward to general clinic but has given me no contact details to speak to anyone.
