I have mild COPD, I seem to have a permanent 'rattle' on my lungs caused by phlegm, i try to clear my throat but it persists especially on one side, is there anything i can do to rid myself of it? Or perhaps a medication i can get.

If you are already taking prescribed preventative medication for your COPD to open out your airways it is unlikely that anything bought over the counter will do any better. You could however discuss with your health professional who is responsible for your care. Mine is the is the GP practice asthma nurse. You could also try a steam inhaler to see if that helps. Otherwise since this is a heart health forum you could find a chest health forum and ask on there.

Good morning Mrs cared. If you go to the bottom left of this page and click on the 9 dots of your hub. And then click on the section that applies to your question ie. Lungs and then post your question to that group. Hope you get some help. Brian
