Hello :-)

No one likes to think anything is wrong with their heart and even when we get the most positive news like you have if you are going to have any news about your heart for some of us it causes us anxiety especially till we gain our confidence that this is not what our minds are blowing it up to be as the mind is a powerful thing

There are all different Communities we can join on HU and one is for AF I am not sure if you have joined it or taken a look at it but I will put you the link on and see if it will be of any reassurance to you I hope so :-) x

Hi Cheryl. Im glad your Cardio has said he’s confident that your heart is ‘fine’. For some lucky people that is reassurance enough. But for others, anxiety grows and they may need help to find ways to manage that anxiety.

There is, as I’m sure you know, skilled help available.

Do think about seeking that help if your own efforts aren't working.

Cheryl try to learn how to relax - it really helps. You’ve begun a journey with AFib - loads of info on here and loads of great people here who can help with the discovery of what this damned thing is and options to allow you to live your life which is what it’s all about - very best of luck x

Hi Cheryl,

My mum was diagnosed in 2022, took us a while to get our heads around it, but just remember, you’ve had a diagnosis and hopefully on good treatment, condition is managed. I never heard of AF until mum was diagnosed, this group is so good for support so any questions and concerns, ask on here.

Thank you xx how is she now. I think what frightens me is seeing on here and alot if treatment doesn't seem to work and I focus on that and it makes me ill with worry. My family say they aren't your case they are others which is true. I can never see positives
