had a heart attack end of august angiogram showed moderate disease but not enough to warrant a stent.hurrah.the consultant said I would do as much as before and a bit more.came home with meds felt fine for 6 weeks,Then started to get breathless couldn’t sleep got myself into a right state with myself couple of meds changed, no different,all my bloods came back ok.would seem that anxiety was the culprit still got it now can’t sleep totally worn out lost 10-12 lbs in weight only slim so that’s not good.Dont want to go down the road of sleeping tablets etc.Tried breathing techniques long walks etc.has anyone had a similar experience

hi Carrie farm on aspirin,losartan.atorvastatin,clopidogrel.and lansoprazole consultant took me off bisoprolol for two weeks possible cause of breathlessness.

It is normal to get anxiety and a host of other feelings after a heart attack. I certainly did with mine. I would be inclined to ask your consultant/doctor/practice nurse for advice with how to get through it.

Have you tried doing something that normally puts you to sleep like listening to certain music or watching a particular program that you normally sleep through? It doesn’t matter if you spend a night on the sofa but it may just break the no sleep cycle.

Tried pretty much everything just got some magnesium tablets today from local health food shop give them a go tonight.
