Had a heart attack in my 30s this year but my arteries weren’t blocked. MRI found a thrombus in the left ventricle and evidence of apical MI. Only had mild heart disease and some evidence of pericarditis.
The thrombus is thankfully gone but they also seem to suggest the Apical MI has gone. How is that possible that they found evidence of an infraction and then not?
They also want to do a bubble echo to check for ASD or PFO. Has anyone had this condition and needed surgery? I’m still on blood thinners (Rivaroxaban)

Sorry I can’t help with your query however, I did have a heart attack last year where my arteries were not blocked either, though it was under different circumstances to yourself. I would suggest calling the BHF helpline to see if they could shed some further light on this topic for you.
