Mild aortic stenosis

I have a murmur. An Echo revealed mild aortic stenosis. My heart is ok though. However I struggle with walking. My thighs ache and I have to stop and rest. My GP doesn't seem to be concerned. I requested ACE medication and he agreed to a low dose. However the ache persists. Have others had this experience?,

Hi Nina17

I have moderate to severe aortic stenosis and severe aortic regurgitation. Mild is ok it's still scary but it's ok you should be monitored with echos every 2 years I think. Has your cardiologist said anything about need surgery in the future?? Did you say your thighs ache mine do aswell, they swell up aswell not sure what that means thinking about mentioning it at my next appointment. My left leg hurts so much I can hardly lift or bend it 😕💔. Hope your ok?? X

Hi thanks for your reply. I don't have a cardiologist yet. I am seeing a rheumatologist for poly myalgia rheumatic. It was she who examined me and referred me for the Echo. I will have a follow up appointment next month and ask for a cardiology referral. There's not been any communication which has been concerning.

The IBS turned out to be costochondritis! I do get heartburn and take omezrapole for it.

I also have mild aortic stenosis and now on annual checkups with my constant. I also have lymphoma and went through chemo 3 years ago and this has left me with joint pain. I also have trouble walking and get pain in my back and hips. This is really annoying as I used to walk miles and can now hardly do 1 mile. I don't think doctors are very good with back pain so I see an osteopath when it gets really bad. Hope you can get some answers very soon
