I went to A&E Monday 11th September as I have for week previous been getting more and more breathless, tired and weak. That weekend my symtoms got really bad and had tingling and numbness in my right lower arm and hand. Chest pain and tightness. My nurse who I see weekly due to my eating disorder told me to go A&EAfter bloods and chest xray and ecg were done . All was OK apart from my blood results which I do not understand and cannot find the exact answer on Google.
I think I may have had a heart attack Trop level on bloods show 22 20 .
Can anyone help answer my query. I've been referred for a echocardigram .

I wouldn’t bother looking on Google - it’ll tell you what you want to hear - I would have thought you should see your GP or a cardiologist at your local hospital as they will be able to explain - an echocardiogram is a move in the right direction also maybe an angiogram but the blood test results should reveal whether or not you’ve suffered a heart attack.
Definitely ring the Cardiac helpline at your local Department or call the BHF helpline to ask them to explain what things could cause the results you have and how you can help your symptoms while waiting for the Echo. Also ask to go in and see your GP to discuss things and get advice and to monitor your BP etc.
Thank you for your reply 's yes Google isn't the best Dr I know! They let me go from hospital as my blood results after 4 hours had reduced and I begged them for me to go home. The Dr did say it doesn't necessarily mean a hear attack but obviously there's something going on so I'm greatfull to be getting an echo done it's just yiu never know how long the wait is . I saw my GP yesterday who is always half asleep when I see him . I'm having another ecg next week .
First time I was seen in A&E with extreme breathlessness and chest pains my troponin levels were, apparently, 32 and 39 on the 2 blood tests they did in the 15 hours I was there. No comment at all and I was sent home the same day. I believe 40 is considered to be an indication of a heart attack.
That was October last year 10 days after the unmentionable on here. In May I had an echocardiogram and blood test as a result of last Oct A&E visit, I was admitted there and then with the comment I'd had a heart attack in the previous week. We now believe it was the night before the May echo, 5 days later I'd had two stents placed and 25 days after the stents OHS for AVR and 1xCABG.
I'm off to my local Park Run in the morning for my second attempt, went last week for the first time ever, I'm now 14 weeks post-op.
