Here we go again!!: hi everyone hope... - British Heart Fou...
Here we go again!!
Hello, you are in the best place, so please do try and take some deep breaths and relax. I am naturally not a doctor but I understand there may be other avenues to explore before another bypass, although I have heard this does happen. I am post CABG x 4 2 years, so I can understand how terrifying this must be for you. Write down a list of questions to ask so you are prepared and hopefully asking these will allay your fears. Please take care and let us know how you get on. I am sure others will be along to share their thoughts. Judi
So sorry to hear you ended up in hospital x hope they find out what's happening ❤️
Hello
I read your post and could feel your fear and it must be a shock to find yourself in this position after 13 years and quite frightening to I would be feeling exactly the same and when we are full of fear we cannot see any positives but others can and that is you are in the right place so they can find out what has happened
Try not to over think things I know your head will be saying what if I need another Bypass as that was the last result from 13 years ago but it does not mean that it is the case this time
People have had to have Bypasses done again and they have been successful as well as sometimes people that have had Bypasses sometimes years later go on to needing a stent but they have all got through it and are fit and well
At this stage till they have done the angiogram it is a bit of a guessing game but when you know I think at least that will give you some answers which can help
Come and talk with us whenever you feel afraid we are here and will listen , share are experiences and you are not alone which can really help to know that people are there willing to try and support you
Please keep us updated and let us know how you get on x
Hi, I can understand how worried and terrified you’re feeling. Speak to the staff and the doctors about all of your worries and they’ll be able to reassure you. Just think how much has changed in 13 years such as surgical procedures and medications . Once they know more they’ll be able to proceed with whatever will be best for you. I’m post CABG x 2 21 years and am now 67. Try to relax and not get too anxious, talk with others as well. Take care, will be thinking of you.
I know it's a shock to find yourself in hospital out of the blue. Just try to remember that you're in the right place. Try to be patient while waiting for the diagnosis and proposed treatment. Keep us updated and hope everything goes well.
Hi, having experienced the 5star Derby Royal myself I can only say that you are in the right place - I have nothing but praise for them after my stay two years ago. Hope you get sorted soon, best wishes.
Thanks so much I agree the cardiologist was so lovely yesterday and all the nurses are friendly !! He’s said hopefully it won’t be another bypass he will do his best to do stent so it’s just a waiting game now and although he’s gonna try and do angiogram on Tuesday I’m not gonna get my hopes up as I’ve heard that some of the doctors and consultants are striking this week !’ Really appreciate your support thanks again and I wish u good health x
