warfarin v heparin

Hi, I can only tell you of my experience with warfarin, mine is too help prevent clots from forming when I go into AF atrial fibrillation. I have it monitored on a regular basis which seems to work. All I know about heparin is it’s faster acting and is used a lot on after operative care.

Hi warfarin for me is the same plus I have pulmonary hypertension which is severe.

Recently I was told I’m going to be taken off it and put on one of those new anticoagulant tablets, I was a little scared, but now thinking about it I feel I’ve had enough of warfarin and want to try something new.

The constant blood tests for years are now affecting my veins as I can only use my left arm for bloods.
