Since reduction of thyroid medication, previous cardio disturbances like jittery feeling, flutters, missing beats, ectopics and tachycardia have correspondingly reduced ... indeed almost disappeared. Any similar experiences known?

Levothyroxine side effects? eg Tachycardia known?
You might find it useful to ask this question on the ThyroidUK forum as there are likely to be more members there with experience of cardiac symptoms either independent of , or caused by , thyroid issues whom take levothyroxine and may have found the same thing.
Your experience would not be surprising . Whether you have thyroid problems which include cardiac symptoms , or separate thyroid and cardiac health issues, unmanaged Thyroid problems can cause increases in heart rate , Tachycardia, palpitations and swings in blood pressure because of the role the thyroid has in regulating many of the bodies functions.
Therefore if you begin a medication to control your thyroid problem any cardiac symptoms caused by , or made worse by, thyroid dysfunction will be improved.
Thanks for your supportive thoughts and information and good idea of putting question in thyroid forum instead of here. No sure of transfer method?
What do you mean by ' transfer method'?
Transfer method ? I simply meant that I am no sure of the method or technique or steps for moving a posting from Cardio forum to Thyroid forum as you had suggested.
Thanks again
Easiest way is just to search for the Thyroid forum, join it and then write the post question out on there again.
Hi, just to say I also have an under active thyroid and when given a higher dose of thyroid medication I had jittery feeling and once on the correct dose this went away.
I have been hypothyroid for many years. Synthetic Levothyroxine never really suited me and after 14 years I switched to the natural product Armour thyroid. I felt better within weeks. My daughter cannot tolerate Thyroxine it causes severe palpitations so she too now uses Armour. It has however become very expensive as I have to buy it privately. I do not use Thyroid UK, preferring TPAUK (Thyroid Patient Advocacy UK). Levothyroxine suits many people but not all. I wish you well.
Thank you for kind response, for sharing your similar experiences, with which I can closely identify … thanks also for information on other treatment options , and support … and especially for info about TPAUK a source of reliable alternative advice
A too high a dose of Levothyrixine will effect the heart, as will too low a dose. Levothyroxine alone did not suit me, no matter what the dose. I was having all sorts of heart tests, but then a kind GP added Liothyronine, and all my heart problems went away. GPs are now not allowed to start patients on Liothyronine, you have to see an Endo, but it saved my life.
If you have your blood results, scoot over to the Thyroid forum and they will give you some very helpful advice.
Hi. As already stated on here too much or too little Levothyroxine can indeed affect your heart rate as will having Hashimotos AutoimmuneThyroiditis as you can go into a temporary Hyperthyroid state if you have immune attack on the thyroid gland.
This happened to me beginning of the year and I ended up in A&E with a very fast heart rate and high blood pressure.
For me I found Thyroid UK to be a very knowledgable and helpful forum. There are people on there who have similar problems but up to you of course which forum you prefer to approach on the subect.
Thanks for your help advice and support... yes at this stage it's important that I continue to keep an open mind about sources of help and learning with gratitude from others with similar problems.... whilst gradually researching my own conditions.
