I was wondering if anyone has had or is having similar issues to me at the moment?
I had 2 stents fitted in the same artery 6 months ago and my medication is Ticagralor, Asprin, Antistatin & Omeprazole. I was on Bisoferol but didn’t like it so stopped it. My Cardiologist was ok with that.
My problem is occasionally I get short of breath for no reason and also feel quite anxious/ uneasy. The breathing issue comes and goes for no apparent reason. I’m back to running 10k three times a week no problem but I might get breathless putting my shoes on or getting out of the car.
And the anxiety can last all day at least once a week. I wondered if anyone else had these side effects from this type of medication or whether it’s something different all together and not related to the stems / medications.
My doctor doesn’t seem overly concerned and it’s more of an inconvenience to me than anything else.
I’d be interested to know other people’s experiences.
Thanks.

I get breathless for no reason after my triple heart Bypass but I am an anxious person and the anxiety does not help and could be one reason
Also when I was allowed to come of Tiagrelor my Consultant said my breathing might get better as she said it can affect some peoples breathing so I wonder if this might improve when you are allowed to come of it
Have you still got a Consultant who you may have more follow up appointments with so you could mention it to them or could you phone the Rehab Nurses at the Hospital you had it done at and see what they think
There of course is the BHF Nurses you can talk to as well if you give them a ring
My cardiologist did say it might be the Ticagralor making me breathless. I have to take it for another 6 months so I’ll see after that. Did your breathing improve when you came off it?
