I'm a 22 year old Vegas native who struggles with PCOS, ADD, possible heart conditions along with high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, and C-PTSD.
I'm currently without health insurance (yay america)
So I've been working on my health journey alone. I have a family history of diabetes, heart problems and now most recently, a family history of reproductive issues. All that which has fallen upon me.
I am very young, and want to become a healthier, livlier version of myself that I've needed for so long. After a few years with my PCOS being untreated, it was time I stopped ignoring my issues and take control of them, however I can. This is my way of taking advantage of any resources I can get, and reaching out to people who might be experiencing, or experts in any of my conditions listed above.
I'm far too young to be living with such conditions. I want to live better, and longer.

You are indeed young and have a lot to cope with. There are other young people on this forum and I hope you may be able to find them and share tactics and experiences with them
It sounds as if you have a wonderfully strong resolve to start on the journey towards a healthier, longer life. Let us know how you get on and what you do. .
I’m sorry you’re having to deal with multiple health issues at such a young age, but I’m glad to see that you have the determination to overcome and manage these conditions the best you can to obtain a better quality of life for yourself.
I hope you find this forum useful and supportive in your journey.
There is a lot of useful information on the British Heart Foundation main website . Not all of it will apply to the US, but there is advice in things like diet and exercise, and information about various conditions.
I am sorry to hear you have no health insurance. I dread to think what my treatment would have cost if we had no health service.
Looking at your bio it seems you have multiple issues, many of which revolve round your anxiety and related issues.
Dealing with the possible heart conditions, are you a 'normal' weight and what is your definition of 'high' blood pressure? Have the possible heart conditions manifested themselves physically in any way, such as breathlessness or irregular heart beats?
Hi perksofjazzy . Welcome to the group. I'm so sorry to hear about the health issues you've been experiencing. I know it's a lot to deal with. Although I'm 50, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16, so have been dealing with it for sometime now. Unfortunately I have also experienced the infertility side too and went through years of IVF, finally falling pregnant on my 5th and final round, only to unfortunately lose my much longed for baby midway through the pregnancy. A year later during a bout of depression brought on by losing my baby and trying to come to terms that unfortunately I'd never be a mother as we couldn't afford anymore rounds of IVF, I discovered that I had miraculously fallen pregnant naturally with my little girl 🤗.That was the turning point for me and I decided I wanted to try to live a healthier lifestyle than I had been living. I joined a gym, got a personal trainer and suddenly started feeling better about myself and my PCOS symptoms eased up with losing weight, which I personally needed to do.
Unfortunately last year out of the blue I was diagnosed with severe heart failure. I'm currently being tested to see if we can find out how on earth this happened. I've been through a mixture of emotions over my diagnosis and kind of lost myself for a little while, but I'm happy to say that with returning back to my regular gym routine was just the tonic I needed. I appreciate we are all uniquely different and what works for me may not work for others. Prior to this, I joined a cardiac rehab class and this really helped with giving me confidence in exercising again and I also attended their therapy sessions. I found it really helped speaking one on one with someone about my diagnosis and the steps for me personally to come to terms with if and move forward.
I really hope you find whatever it may be that will help you in any areas you feel you need help with. Wishing you all the best and sorry for the long winded post.
So sorry to hear about how much you have going on with your health at such a young age .Lots of people on here always willing to chat and lots of info on the website Keep posting you will always get a reply
