Been on entresto nearly 8 months last couple of months on highest dose. Bubble echo had ef at 37% 3months ago mri says its now 29% with no scarring just cardiomyopathy and persistantatrial fibrillation. Had very little symptoms (none) before I started taking it and now get pins n needles and dizziness standing up & fell hard once & knocked myself out, none of wich I did before I started taking it. Asked cardiologist if I could stop as I wasn't having symptoms b4 I started it and he said no but if it's not working then what's the point. Or try other medications. 1st time i had afib and heartfailure I was on spironolactone furosemide digoxin bisoprolol. Fed up now and gunna loose my job because of the low ef

Entresto, cardiomyopathy&afib
I hear you. I feel like entresto hasn't worked for me either. My ef shot back up after the HA and HF up to 44% and was on the low dose. When they upped it to middle dose, not long after it dropped to 35-40% and get pins needles.. Waking up numb at times. Brain fog. Awful drowsey feeling. I have felt better since starting Dapagliflozin though.
But last night i had a episode of where my heart started racing uncontrollably at 100bpm (usually 65-75) and bp shot right up to 140/90 (usually 100/70).
Laid down but was still going on for about 15 mins. Not sure what this was. Ecgs and check up was fine.
Discharged from hospital on 22nd July with ef of 20%.Consultant stopped the furosemide and now on Spironolactone, dapagliflozin, bumetanide(reduced to 1mg pd)apixaban, carvedilol, and recently added enalipril.Recent MRI showed ef upto 35% a heart rate down to 66 from 90 atdischarge.Been slowly increasing excercise and feel much less tired daily.so so far so good..sorry you've had probs mate..it's a rocky road at best.
