Naughty tooth delays ASD procedure

Thanks to a post on antibiotics for dental procedures I got off my a** and booked a dentist appointment to replace one cancelled in order to see a cardiologist.

It turns out that my “gum boil” is likely to be a chronic infection due to a dead tooth. After considering messing about with root canals and potentially delaying the ASD closure for months to see if it worked, I’ve decided to do without that tooth for the foreseeable future.

RIP Toothy, an (indirect) victim of Covid.

This has led to a reschedule of the ASD closure by a month, still hoping to get it done before the summer holidays.

So thank you all for the posts on antibiotic prophylaxis and also I think there was one explicitly recommending dental checks before ASD (but couldn’t find it again).
