Bit advice
Heart rate often goes up after eating, Heart needs to work a little harder to aid digestion!!
But how big an increase are we talking here? You'll need to speak to a doctor to rule anything out if you're concerned... sometimes it's a sensitivity, or too much has been eaten, or a big change in blood sugar levels.
I don't eat large meals I only have minimal food i do suffer alot from tapped wind n tummy discomfort I'm due gi endoscopy my pulse can go up to over 100 after eating I'm due to be fitted with 3 week cardiac monitor soon
Hiya I do. I read it's best not to eat big meals as it does increase HR
Hi ya that's just it I don't eat big meals even just a sandwich increases my heart rate that's why I think it's something to do with tummy
Well certainty hot and spicy meals, think curry and similar, definitely raise our metabolic rate and often our portion sizes are way more than generous, thus this is when the heart goes into overdrive . . Bringing on the palpitations, afib, sweating and so on, and the blood sugars soar. Most heart medication is given to achieve the exact opposite, to reduce the heart rate.
Tummy pressure, unless just full, or constipated - is a whole different thing and you should seek professional medical advice.
Good luck
