Heart rate often goes up after eating, Heart needs to work a little harder to aid digestion!!

But how big an increase are we talking here? You'll need to speak to a doctor to rule anything out if you're concerned... sometimes it's a sensitivity, or too much has been eaten, or a big change in blood sugar levels.

Well certainty hot and spicy meals, think curry and similar, definitely raise our metabolic rate and often our portion sizes are way more than generous, thus this is when the heart goes into overdrive . . Bringing on the palpitations, afib, sweating and so on, and the blood sugars soar. Most heart medication is given to achieve the exact opposite, to reduce the heart rate.

Tummy pressure, unless just full, or constipated - is a whole different thing and you should seek professional medical advice.

Good luck
